How to get dolls in Pokémon Pokopia

Dolls are one of the many items you can collect in Pokémon Pokopia and they’re all very cute.

Best of all, however, dolls have multiple uses! Dolls can, of course, be used to visit Dream Islands in Pokopia, but you may find yourself using them to build specific habitats too.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at how to get a doll in Pokémon Pokopia so you can start your Pokémon doll collection.

How to get a doll in Pokopia

There are three ways you can find dolls in Pokopia:

  • In the overworld like other pieces of furniture
  • Breaking blocks which have a gold glow
  • Purchasing them from the PC shop
  • From Red Poké Balls found in the overworld

When it comes to purchasing the dolls from the PC shop, it’s important to note that they’re tied to the Environment Level of Palette Town. This means you need to go do some work there, building habitats and raising Comfort Levels, if you want to unlock the ability to purchase dolls. Just keep in mind that the shop only stocks one of each doll you can purchase.

There’s a variety of dolls to collect – from Pikachu to Dragonite to Arcanine – so keep your eye out for new ones.

If you’ve just started playing Pokopia and are looking for a doll for Drifloon, then it’s a good idea to try breaking down the wall of rumble directly east of the Pokémon Center in the Withered Wasteland. This is the direction Drifloon will point you in for this request and it was here that I found an Eevee Doll by breaking a block with a gold glow.

What do dolls do in Pokopia?

Dolls have four purposes in Pokopia: Dream Islands, raising Comfort Levels, making habitats and decoration.

Dream Islands are by far the most important out of the three as these locations are great for farming materials. Nearly every doll is tied to a specific Dream Islands, so you need to make sure you’re collecting every doll if you want to visit every island. The only exceptions I’ve found so far are the Ditto and Substitute Dolls, which will send you to a randomly selected Dream Island. Check out our dedicated Dream Island guide if you want to learn more.

Dolls can also be used to raise a Pokémon’s Comfort Level if they ask for a toy. They’re perfect for Pokémon who prefer cute objects!

Some habitats can also be built using dolls. The ‘Perpetual mess’ habitat is a good example as it requires two toys and, since it doesn’t matter what toys you use, dolls can be used in this habitat.

Finally, you can always use dolls to decorate the world and the houses you build within it!

Best of luck collecting dolls in Pokopia! If you’re looking for more help with Pokopia knowledge, then why not check out our guides on the Pokédex, Pokémon Centers and how to swim.
