How to get Mysterious Feathers in Pokopia
To find a Mysterious Feather in Pokopia, you first have to wait for either Lugia or Ho-Oh to fly across the sky. You’ll know when this is occurring as you’ll hear them roar and, if the sky isn’t clouded, might be able to spot the legendary flying above.
Every time this happens, there’s a chance they will drop a Mysterious Feather. Though what you’re looking out for, and how to actually get it, depends on the type of feather dropped.
Rainbow Feathers
Rainbow Feathers are dropped by Ho-Oh. When a Rainbow Feather has been dropped, you’ll be able to see smoke rising to the sky.
Use this smoke to find the Rainbow Feathers location and, once there, use Water Gun to put out the flames and collect your feather.
Silver Feathers
Silver Feathers are dropped by Lugia. When a Silver Feather has been dropped on the map, you’ll be able to see a tornado spiralling up into the air.
Head to this location and use Cut on the tornado before picking up the feather. If you don’t use Cut, then you won’t be able to get your Silver Feather.
What to do with Rainbow and Silver Feathers in Pokopia
There are two main purposes for both Rainbow and Silver Feather (i.e the Mysterious Feathers) in Pokopia.
The first is the one that has most likely led you to this guide – the Daily Challenge. ‘Gather mysterious feathers’ is a very common recurring Daily Challenge and, luckily, you only need to find one to complete it. Doing so will earn you 200 Coins you can use to buy more furniture, habitat hints, expand your bag or more.
While the icon for this Daily Challenge does depict a Rainbow Feather, picking up a Silver Feather will also complete it.
The second purpose is unlocked once you’ve reached Rocky Ridges and find the remains of the museum in the northern section of the map. Just keep in mind that reaching the museum does mostly involve travelling through the mines found in Rocky Ridges, but, thankfully, it’s a pretty hard building to miss.
Once there, you’ll meet a Gimmighoul who will ask you to bring it a Rainbow Feather. After doing so, you can exchange Rainbow Feathers, Silver Feathers and appraised lost relics with Gimmighoul in exchange for furniture items. Just keep in mind that the furniture you receive does appear to be selected randomly.
