How to get Bricks in Pokémon Pokopia

To get Bricks in Pokopia, you need to give Squishy Clay to Torchic, who will then bake the clay and turn it into Bricks for you. That said, you first need to unlock Torchic by making their habitat! We explain how to do this below.

After working on Meowth’s habitat in Pokopia, they’ll have one final request for you that involves crafting a Planter for them.

To craft this decorative item, you will first need to speak to Torchic, which means setting up the ‘chirp-chirp meal’ habitat. To establish this habitat, you need to place the following items within the same area:

  • 1x Wooden Birdhouse
  • 1x Plated Food (place a Plate then put some form of food or berry on it)
  • 1x Wooden Table

Shortly after setting up the ‘chirp-chirp meal’ habitat, the birdhouse will begin to rattle and shake. Interact with it to finally meet Torchic! Once introductions are complete, speak to Torchic again and tell them that you need some Bricks.

You can also tell Torchic that you need a Planter but they’ll then tell you that you need Bricks for that, which leads them to tell you about Bricks either way. Torchic will advise you that if you bring Squishy Clay to them, they can bake it and turn it into Bricks for you.

To collect Squishy Clay, you’ll need to look out for Clay blocks around town and break them using the Rock Smash Move. Then, take the Squishy Clay to Torchic and request that they turn it into Bricks. This will take them a little time (no longer than a couple of minutes), so you might want to go set up another habitat or continue searching for more Squishy Clay while you wait for Torchic to finish baking your materials.

Don’t forget to use your first lot of Bricks to craft a Planter for Meowth! After that, it’s up to you what you use Bricks for, but remember that if you need any more, you’ll need to give some Squishy Clay to Torchic again and request that they make you some Bricks with it.
