The Gather Specialty in Pokémon Pokopia is an ability that many Pokémon have where they can help you easily collect materials scattered across the ground. They can even bring these materials to you to be processed, should you need them to.

Pokopia Pokémon with the Gather Specialty
Here are all Pokémon that know the Gather Specialty in Pokopia:
- Gastly
- Minccino and Cinccino
- Machop, Machoke, and Machamp
- Rolycoly and Carkol
- Mr. Mime
- Mismagius
- Girafarig
- Duskill and Dusknoir
- Dreepy and Drakloak
- Espeon
Of the above ‘mons, Minccino or Machoke are likely to be the first Pokémon with the Gather Specialty that you’ll encounter. You’ll find this Pokémon Minccino by fixing a flooded area in Bleak Beach, and Machoke at the beginning of your time in Rocky Ridges. Who you encounter first entirely depends on which way you go after the ‘Yawn up a Storm’ Important Request.
There are, of course, more Pokémon with the Gather Speciality. You can see which ones you’ve found so best by filtering the Pokédex to only show Pokémon with this Specialty. By then pressing ‘+’ on one of these Pokémon, you’ll also be able to begin searching for them and can ask other Pokémon where to find them.
Pokopia Gather Specialty explained
Pokemon that have the Gather Specialty in Pokopia can pick up items on the ground and put them into a community box, plus they can take materials from a community box to anywhere they can be processed.
For example, if a Pokémon with the Gather Specialty wanders past some Stone on the ground, they’ll pick this up and place it into a community box for you to collect whenever you’d feel like it. Then, if you’re at a Smelting Furnace but you don’t have the materials in your pockets, Pokémon with the Gather Specialty can take materials from a community box and bring them to the Smelting Furnace.
This, in turn, can save you a huge amount of time when it comes to collecting and processing resources in Pokopia.
