Satoru Nihei, director on Onimusha: Way of the Sword, has revealed in a post on X that the development team are “working on the final stages” of the game’s production, and acknowledged that fans are eager to know when they can finally get their hands on the upcoming samurai epic.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword was showcased during Capcom’s latest spotlight event with a new gameplay overview trailer, although a release date was not announced. However, the publisher previously confirmed it’s due to launch at some point in 2026.
