Metal Gear Solid publisher Konami has announced that it is increasing the start salary for its Japanese employees for the fifth year in a row.
The base salary for college graduates will be increased by 29% to 310,000 yen, up from 240,000 yen per month back in February 2023. The base salary for all employees is being increased by 5,000 yen per month.
This will enable us to offer competitive compensation for new recruits and create an environment where talented employees can thrive with a sense of satisfaction in their work.

Konami has been revisiting some of its biggest franchises in the past few years, with Silent Hill in particular seeing a major revival with a remake of Silent Hill 2, a brand new entry with Silent Hill f, plus the upcoming Silent Hill Townfall. In addition, Bloober Team is also working on a Silent Hill 1 Remake. Meanwhile, it also released a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and is bringing back Castlevania with a new outing in the form of Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse.
