Solving the Hillside Manor strongbox puzzle in Crimson Desert involves ensuring all of the cylinders reach a certain point when pushed upwards. Namely the silver section needs to be part of the picture, the black line level with the top of the wood and the gold section needs to be within the wood itself. Hillside Manor strongbox puzzle solution
Here’s how to solve the Hillside Manor strongbox puzzle, going from left to right with the cylinders:
- Lower the first cylinder 2 times.
- Lower the second cylinder 2 times.
- Lower the third cylinder 3 times.
- Lower the fourth cylinder 4 times
- Lower the fifth cylinder 5 times.
- Press the right hand button before turning it right.
- Steal the treasure inside.
If the above solution doesn’t work for you, then take a close look at the cylinders. Remember, when the right-hand button is pressed, the black line needs to be just above the piece of wood. It could be that one cylinder just isn’t in perfect alignment yet. Unlike the Southern Bluemont Manor, where you can easily raise all of the cylinders and work backwards, here you need to keep track of how many items you’ve lowered each one.
You’ll be rewarded with the Saint’s Necklace for solving this strongbox. It provides a 5 Defense stat boost and has a Vitality trait. Just remember to wear your mask before stealing it and be prepared to be marked as a thief for a short period of time afterwards.
Hillside Manor strongbox puzzle location
The Hillside Manor is found directly south-east of Hernand Castle in Crismon Desert.
Once there, you’ll want to climb up the wall which both sticks out from the main building and is to the left-hand side of the main door. Ideally, you’ll want to aim for the right-hand window which is closest to where the top walls meet.
After climbing up the wall, opening the window and heading on inside, you’ll find the strongbox on the side of the room furthest from the door. Just make sure no-one else is in the room!
