The Lioncrest Manor strongbox puzzle is actually quite an easy one! Simply rotate each of the picture panels until said picture matches this one:
There’s no negative consequences for either the order in which you rotate the panels or the direction you rotate them in, so simply solve this puzzle however you like.
In return, you’ll earn the Engraved Gold Earring. Just don’t forget to wear your mask and be prepared for the theft crime to be applied to you for a short period of time.
Lioncrest Manor strongbox puzzle location
The Lioncrest Manor is located on a hill to the east of Hernand Castle. To avoid using a key to access this strongbox, head to the mostly northerly end of the house. To be specific, this is the end of the house near the spiked wooden fence and some trees. There shouldn’t be any NPCs in this area.
Once there, climb up to one of the windows on the first floor (second floor if you’re not from the UK) and head on inside. The left-hand window will take you to the room with the strongbox. If you choose the middle window like me, then you just need to head through the left-hand door to find.
The strongbox sits near a wardrobe by a window. It’s worth making sure no-else is in the room.
