The artificial Pokémon, Porygon, is hiding away in Pokémon Pokopia‘s Sparkling Skylands region, an area with signs of industrialisation and plenty of interesting materials for you to gather. That said, to actually befriend Porygon, you’re going to need to set up his habitat which requires some very specific and hard to find items.
We’ve detailed exactly how to get Porygon in Pokopia below, including where to find all the items needed for his habitat.

How to get Porygon in Pokémon Pokopia
To get Porygon in Pokopia, you need to reach the region of Sparkling Skylands and build the Researcher’s Desk habitat. Here’s how to unlock Porygon step-by-step:
1. Gain access to Sparkling Skylands
Porygon and his later evolutions are based in Sparkling Skylands, which is one of the last areas you’ll unlock in Pokopia. To access the area, you’ll need to increase your Trainer Rank to Ultra.
You can do this by completing the Yawn up a Storm! Important Request in Withered Wastelands, the Brighten Things Up! Important Request in Bleak Beach, and the Time to Party! Important Request in Rocky Ridges.
2. Build the Researcher’s Desk habitat
Once you have access to Sparkling Skylands, the next thing you need to do is build the Researcher’s Desk habitat to attract Porygon. This habitat requires the following items:
- x2 Table (Any)
- x1 Computer (Working)
- x1 Science Experiment
While you should have no problem crafting some tables at this point in Pokopia, finding a Computer and Science Experiment is a little more troubling. That said, if you keep exploring Sparkling Skylands, you’ll find both of these items sooner or later hidden inside abandoned building projects or amid scaffolding.
More specifically, I found my Science Experiment hidden inside of the pile of sand around the back of the Silph Co. Tower, while I found my Computer amongst the abandoned offices on the island east of the Silph Co. Tower (where you find Gardevoir).
3. Power the Computer
Once you set up the above items, use a Pokémon with the Generate Specialty – such as Wattrel – to temporarily provide power to the Computer. The Computer must have power in order to establish the Researcher’s Desk habitat.
4. Wait for Porygon to appear
After establishing the Researcher’s Desk habitat in Pokopia, it’s then merely a matter of waiting for Porygon to appear, which shouldn’t take too long.
Once you do have Porygon, this helpful ‘mon can be used for recycling Nonburnable Garbage into Iron Ore and Wastepaper into Paper, thanks to their Recycle Specialty.
