Copper Ore is one of the materials you’ll use to upgrade weapons and armor in Crimson Desert. You can’t just go down the shops and buy it though. No, you need to know where to find Copper Ore and what to look out for when searching for it. Don’t worry though, I’m here to give you a hand so let’s learn how to get Copper Ore in Crimson Desert.
How to get Copper Ore in Crimson Desert
To get Copper Ore in Crimson Desert, you need to mine a Copper Ore vein with a Pickaxe.
1. Buy a Pickaxe
You can buy Pickaxes from the Provisioner’s Shops located in various settlements. The one in Hernand can be found just down the road from the tavern you visit in the game’s opening hour.
A Pickaxe costs 31 Copper.
2. Find and mine a Copper Ore
Copper Ore veins are located on the sides of cliffs. To be specific, you need to keep an eye out for rocks with a greenish tint to them. These rocks will also have the same colour as the cliff they’re embedded into, but that green colour does mean you’ve found Copper.
Once you’ve found a Copper Ore vein, equip your Pickaxe and give it a good hit. A couple of whacks will lead the Copper Ore to come loose. Just keep an eye on it, because, depending on where you are, it may end up rolling away. You may also find it easier to mine the ore by using the targeting system.
If you’ve just started playing Crimson Desert, then I’ve found a Copper Ore vein which might come in handy. It’s located south-west of the Goldenfist Arena, which itself is directly south of Hernand. This vein does sit about half-way up the cliff, but you should be able to easily reach it. If you’re having trouble finding it, then walk along the northern side of the river south of Goldenfist Arena.
