Upon approaching Arboria Forest Ruins, you’ll find a fountain with multiple spouts, as well as a waterwheel below it. A blue hologram will also appear showing you that you can stab the fountain spouts.

Your overall goal with this puzzle is to stab the fountain spouts and rotate them so that the water they produce is flowing directly into the fountain. This will then provide enough water and momentum for the waterwheel below to start working!

To stab a fountain, approach the hole at its base and press ‘R1 + Triangle’ on PlayStation or ‘R1 + Y’ on Xbox to perform a stab. A simple strike from your sword is not enough here.

Then, all you need to do is rotate the fountain spout so that it is pouring water directly into the fountain rather than outside of it. This means both spouts on each fountain need to face inwards.

Once all fountain spouts are facing and pouring water into the center, the waterwheel is powered and a glowing blue podium holding your reward – an Abyss Cresset – is revealed.
