The Beardtree Gorge Ruins puzzle in Crimson Desert isn’t too troubling, but if you missed out on this puzzle (and the Skill needed for it) back in Hernand, there’s every chance you’re stumped on what to do here. Fortunately, I’ve put together this guide to help with that.

Crimson Desert Beardtree Gorge Ruins puzzle solution
Upon arriving at the Beardtree Gorge Ruins in Crimson Desert, you’ll find that the ruins are submerged in water. On one side of the Ruins however, you should see a small wind turbine (pictured below).
Your overall goal with this puzzle is similar to that of the Haunted Hill Ruins puzzle; you need to use the Nature’s Snare Skill to spin the turbine, allowing them to drain water from the ruins. To do this, enter Focus by pressing ‘R3 + L3’, wait for the Focus gauge to charge a little, then start rotating the right analogue stick.
If you don’t have the Nature’s Snare Skill, you can unlock it from the Haunted Hill Ruins puzzle back in Hernand or by spending some Abyss Artifacts in the Green path of your Skill Tree.
Before we continue, a word of warning! Be careful to not get too close to the turbines while you are rotating them; they can easily damage you or kill you if they come into contact with you.
Keep using Nature’s Snare on the turbine until it has raised to reveal the drain beneath it, which the water will flow into. You may need to use Nature’s Snare more than once to fully do this.
Once the first turbine has been put to use, the water will be partially drained and you’ll now be able to see another small turbine (pictured below) on the other side of the ruins.
Again, use Nature’s Snare to rotate the turbine and fully drain the Beardtree Gorge Ruins of water, and remember that you may need to use it more than once.
Once the Ruins have been cleared of water completely, the podium in the very middle of the Ruins will glow blue and reveal your reward: an Abyss Cresset.
