Iron Ore is one of the materials that can be used to upgrade weapons and armor in Crimson Desert. Yet, it’s not something you can easily purchase from a shop. Instead, you need to head out into the wilderness and find it yourself. Down below I’ll cover how to get Iron Ore in Crimson Desert, so you know exactly what you should be looking out for.
How to get Iron Ore in Crimson Desert
To get Iron Ore in Crimson Desert, you need to mine an Iron Ore vein with a Pickaxe.
1. Buy a Pickaxe
Pickaxes can be purchased from the Provisioner’s Shops you’ll find in various settlements, such as the one in Hernand.
One Pickaxe costs 31 Copper.
2. Find and mine an Iron Ore vein
Iron Ore veins can be found embedded in the cliffsides across the land. When looking for Iron Ore, keep your eye peeled for grey rocks with a silver, almost metallic, texture. Spot this and you’ve hit Iron Ore!
Now all you have to do is equip your Pickaxe and hit that ore. You may find this easier to do using the target system, but, no matter how you do it, the Iron Ore will break out of the rock. In doing so, it may roll away from your current location so make sure you don’t accidentally leave anything behind.
If you’ve just started playing Crimson Desert, then I’ve found an Iron Ore vein that might come in handy. It’s located on the cliffside just east of the Kilnden Workshop, which itself is west of Hernand. Continuing south will eventually lead you to a second Iron Ore vein, but it is a bit of a walk.
Best of luck mining Iron Ore! If you’re looking for more Crimson Desert assistance, why not check out our guides on how to tame horses and how to steal.
