Jason Hill, a former cinematic director for Blizzard, has announced on LinkedIn that he has joined Naughty Dog to work on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet as cinematic supervisor.
“New adventure unlocked! Happy to share I’ve joined Naughty Dog as their Cinematic Supervisor. I’m super excited to work with this team and help push cinematic storytelling for what’s coming next. Stay tuned!,” Hill wrote.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet was announced during The Game Awards in December 2024, and while a release date hasn’t been announced yet, it has been confirmed that the title will not launch this year. Back in May last year, it was revealed that Tony Dalton has been cast in Intergalactic, having previously impressed Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann with his work in HBO’s The Last of Us Series.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is the first new IP from Naughty Dog since 2013’s The Last of Us, and stars Tati Gabrielle as bounty hunter Jordan A. Man, who is on the hunt for a criminal syndicate while stranded on remote planet. The game employs a science-fiction theme and takes place thousands of years in the future, marking a big departure from Naughty Dog’s previous franchises.
