Pearl Abyss has announced that its open-world RPG Crimson Desert has notched up four million sales worldwide since its launch on March 19, 2026.
“Crimson Desert has sold through four million copies worldwide,” the company announced. “Thank you to all the Greymanes who have been a part of this journey with us and for all of your incredible love and support.”
Crimson Desert has been selling at a steady pace since launch, and passed the three million sales barrier in under one week. Pearl Abyss has also been busy patching the game in the past week or so, with the latest update implementing five new mounts and multiple bug fixes.
Crimson Desert takes place on the content of Pywel and follows Kliff, the leader of the Greymanes, as he suffers a major defeat at the hands of rivals the Black Bears, leaving his comrades dead or scattered across the land. Now having lost his family in all but name, Kliff embarks on a journey to reunite with the survivors of the Greymanes and rebuild the faction, in an adventure that will see him forge alliances, encounter numerous dangers, and unearth mysterious factions.
