Crimson Desert Grey Forest Ruins puzzle solution
Upon arriving at the Grey Forest Ruins puzzle, take a look around. You’ll see a large angel statue wielding a staff surrounded by stone flooring with a movable metal grate on it, as well as multiple other smaller statues wielding golden items.
Stand on the stone flooring that surrounds the angel statue to kick the puzzle off. A row of sigils will be revealed on the floor beneath you while the angel statue fires a beam of light towards one of the other statues.
Now, your goal with this puzzle – as it will have been with the Halssius Conflux puzzle – is to move the metal grate on the floor so that it surrounds a symbol that corresponds with whatever the angel’s beam of light is targeting. You will need to do this three times, with more symbols being revealed each time.
For example, the angel’s first beam targets a statue holding a jug, therefore you should move the grate so that it surrounds the jug symbol to continue.
To be able to move the grate onto the necessary symbols however, you’ll first want to clear the stone floor of any obstacles. Notably, there’ll be a ruined stone column on the floor that you must move using Nature’s Grasp. You can do this by pressing ‘Triangle + Circle’ on PlayStation or ‘Y + B’ on Xbox.
Once obstacles have been cleared, you can commence the puzzle and start moving the metal grate. You can do this by using your stab ability on the pillar attached to the grate using ‘R1 + Triangle’ on PlayStation or ‘R1 + Y’ on Xbox.
For all three rounds of the puzzle, here’s exactly what symbols the metal grate needs to surround:
- Jug
- Horse, Shield, and Shield – the Shield should be on the bottom row, while the Horse and another Shield are on the top row.
- Horse, Jug, Scales, Scales, Lyre, and Lyre – the Horse should be on the bottom row, while Scales/Lyre are in the middle row and Scales/Lyre/Jug are along the top row.
After you’ve successfully completed all three rounds of the Grey Forest Ruins puzzle, the angel statue’s base will open and a glowing blue podium that holds your reward – an Abyss Cresset – is revealed.
