How to start the Imitation Quiz
To start the Imitation Quiz, head over to any PC and, upon interacting with it, you’ll get a notification that it’s a very special day in Pokopia! It will give you a hint that, since your Pokémon friends want to do something a little different, there are some limited-time challenges available.
If you head into the ‘Challenges’ menu on the PC, you’ll see that you have a new challenge available – ‘Correctly answer today’s special quizzes!’ To complete this challenge, you need to successfully answer three quizzes so let’s take a look at how to do that…
How to complete the Imitation Quiz
To complete the Imitation Quiz event, you first need to find a Pokémon who has either a thought or speech bubble above their head containing three dots (…). When talking to this Pokémon, their first lines of dialogue will actually be them imitating another Mon. They will then ask you to guess who they were imitating. There will always be two options, so you’ve got a 50-50 chance of getting it right!
Now all you have to do is answer three of these quizzes correctly to complete the event! Here’s some tips to help you out:
- Pokémon will only imitate others living in the same location. I’ve completed over 10 quizzes and never had a Pokémon imitate someone living in a different area to it. This means you can focus on a location where you know the Pokémon really well or have a lower number Pokémon to increase your chances of getting the correct answer.
- Pokémon mainly imitate another’s speech pattern. You might have noticed that Pokémon in Pokopia have different patterns; some are more formal than others, while some stumble over their words. This is what the Imitation Quizzes are mainly copying, so it’s worth having a think about who shares a similar speaking pattern when selecting your answer.
- The imitation might hint towards something a Pokémon likes. For one quiz, the Pokémon doing the imitation mentioned loving berries. I remembered that this is something Pidgey often talks about and it turns out Pidgey was the correct answer! Due to this, it’s worth keeping an eye out for any likes or dislikes mentioned in the imitation and trying to match that to a nearby Pokémon.
- The imitation might hint towards a Pokémon’s type. Another Imitation Quiz I got right mentioned the Pokémon liking rainbows. This stood out to me as something a Fairy-type Pokémon might enjoy, which was a good spot because the correct answer was Sylveon.
Imitation Quiz reward
Once you’ve successfully completed three Imitation Quizzes, head back to the PC and grab your reward – the Inflatable Sudowoodo. It really has a second-hand car dealership vibe! You can continue completing Imitation Quizzes after collecting this reward if you so choose.
If you want multiple Inflatable Sudowoodos, you can make copies using the 3D Printer at a cost of two Rare Pokémetals per inflatable tree.
