Are there shiny Pokémon in Pokopia is a question that’s probably floating around in your mind at the moment.
Now, for those new to the world of Pokémon, shinies are special alternate and rare designs of Pokémon that are converted but often very hard to find. Though they are available in some titles, will they be catchable in Pokopia?
On that note, we’re here to answer a crucial question – are there shiny Pokémon in Pokopia?

Are there Shiny Pokémon in Pokopia?
Currently, we have found no Shiny Pokémon in Pokopia. The majority of Pokémon have their traditional designs, though there are a few new designs that you can aim to attract while building your habitats.
The new designs we know of so far are below, you can learn more by checking out our new Pokémon in Pokopia page:
- Mosslax – This is Snorlax who’s covered with moss and has a nice flower perched on top of their heads. Somehow, the moss covering makes them look like they’re snuggled under a cosy green blanket.
- Peakychu – What would the classic Pikachu be without its classic yellow, black, and red colouring? Well, they’d be the grey version of themselves – the Peakychu.
- Smearguru – A rather colourful artistic Smeargle, covered in drabs of paint and even a tiny moustache.
- DJ Rotom – Let’s get the party started with DJ Rotom ready to drop some sick beats (I can pull that off, shush.)
- Chef Dente – This version of Greedent can put a Dente in your appetite!
- Tinkmaster – Accompanied by a big spanner, this Tinkaton variant is multiple shades of pink.
That being said, as there are going to be limited-time events for Pokopia, we can’t rule out that there won’t be shinies added as part of one of these events further down the line. For example, while they’re not shiny, the first limited-time event ‘More Spores for Hoppip’ did introduce three new limited-time Pokémon to collect. Will shinies be introduced in the future? Only time will tell – personally, if they do add them, I’d love to see a shiny Charizard.
