The PlayStation 5’s Price Is Going Up Again

The PlayStation 5 price went up back in August, and now, seven months later, it’s going up again, and it’s going up by a lot.

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony announced that the PS5, PS5 Pro, and the PlayStation Portal handheld streaming device, are all going up in price starting next week on April 2. The company says this is due to “continued pressures in the global economic landscape,” which is likely a fancy way of saying “Trump’s tariffs” without actually saying the name. The new prices are as follows:

U.S.

  • PS5 – $649.99
  • PS5 Digital Edition – $599.99
  • PS5 Pro – $899.99

U.K.

  • PS5 – £569.99
  • PS5 Digital Edition – £519.99
  • PS5 Pro – £789.99

Europe

  • PS5 – €649.99
  • PS5 Digital Edition – €599.99
  • PS5 Pro – €899.99
