Iron Ingots are a material in Pokémon Pokopia that you’ll need to put some work into gathering, especially if you’re hoping to craft impressive decorative items or better furnaces, which require plenty of the stuff. After that, you’ll need to start putting your beloved Pokémon to work smelting your finds into Iron Ingots. To help with that and ensure you don’t miss any important parts of the process, here’s exactly how to get Iron Ingots in Pokopia.

How to get Iron Ingots in Pokémon Pokopia

To get Iron Ingots in Pokopia, you’ll first need the three following things:

  • A Smelting Furnace
  • A Pokémon with the Burn Specialty
  • Some Iron Ore

Once you have crafted and placed a Smelting Furnace in your world, you then need to place any Iron Ore you wish to smelt into the Furnace.

Then go and speak to a nearby Pokémon that has the Burn Specialty and have them follow you to the Furnace. These are usually Fire-type Pokémon such as Carkol or Magmar for what it’s worth.

Once the Pokémon has followed you to the Furnace, wait a few seconds and they’ll begin to smelt your Iron Ore for you. The smelting process will take a short while, so it’s worth continuing to set up new habitats or raise the Comfort Levels of your existing Pokémon in the meantime.

Fortunately, smelting Iron Ingots is as simple as that! If you’re yet to make a Furnace however, keep on reading.

How to craft and use a Furnace in Pokémon Pokopia

Smelting Furnaces can be found in the overworld or crafted in Pokopia. To craft a single Smelting Furnace, you will need the following materials:

After crafting the Furnace, you can open your Bag and place it wherever you please. Then you’re free to smelt all the Ore you wish as soon as you place some Ore inside and invite a Pokémon with the Burn Specialty over to it, that is!

You can also unlock a recipe for an even better version of the original Furnace – the Metallic Smelting Furnace – once you gain access to the region of Sparkling Skylands (pictured below). This recipe requires 10x Iron Ingots, 3x Pokémetal, and 3x Tinkagear.
