Crimson Desert player literally travels to space and it looks stunning

Eat your heart out, Artemis II

Crimson Desert is in some ways incredibly impressive, especially visually. The game’s world has some gorgeous landscapes, first realized when Kliff crosses the bridge on horseback in the opening hour during the tutorial. Turns out, it looks just as beautiful from the stars.

Initially achieved by YouTuber ItemRelocationClub, it turns out Kliff can visit space by using an infinite stamina mod. And it looks absolutely stunning.

While plenty of games have beautiful skyboxes, not many remain as impressive when you’re technically breaking the physics. In Crimson Desert, the Milky Way can be seen in all its glory, not to mention the curvature of the planet itself. How many games can boast that?

X user NikTek replicated the achievement, explaining it took them over an hour to accomplish. They also highlight that Kliff appears to perform an “atmospheric entry” as he returns to the ground, and while it’s most likely being caused by the particle effects from the lantern, it looks incredibly cool.

They also speculate on whether the attention to detail here could imply a space-themed DLC or expansion is on the horizon. It’s unlikely, but stranger things have happened, and despite Crimson Desert’s visual identity being baked in high fantasy, it does combine plenty of wild, outlandish ideas, such as the various magic abilities and the islands in the sky, known as the Abyss. If any RPG were to suddenly end up in space, Crimson Desert would be one of the most likely suspects because Pearl Abyss has shown it’s not afraid to think outside the box.
