Solving the City of Demeniss strongbox puzzles in Crimson Desert requires patience as one is a cylinder puzzle and the other is a musical one. Some are well hidden too within the walls of buildings around the City. On that note, here are the City of Demeniss strongbox solutions.

How to open north City of Demeniss strongbox

To open the north City of Demeniss strongbox you need to correctly line up the cylinders. From left to right, here’s the cylinder puzzle solution:

1. Lower the first cylinder 4 times.
2. Lower the second cylinder 5 times.
3. Lower the third cylinder 2 times.
4. Lower the fourth cylinder 5 times.
5. Lower the fifth cylinder 2 times.
6. Press the right hand button before turning it right.
7. Steal the treasure inside.

If the solution above doesn’t work for you, then take a closer look at the cylinders. When the right-hand button is pressed, the black lines need to be just above the piece of wood. It’s possible one cylinder is slightly out of alignment and needs adjusting. Also, the silver part needs to be fully in the picture and the gold section needs to be fully in the wooden portion.

North City of Demeniss strongbox location

The north City of Demeniss strongbox can be found in a secret room behind a bookshelf in a building in the north half of the City grounds in Demeniss. We’ve marked its location on the map below:

However you choose to get into the building, you need to head downstairs to the lower level. Stand at the bottom of the stairs facing the ground floor and look slightly to your left, you should see a bookshelf against a wall here.

This is a fake wall, walk up to the bookshelf and interact with it to enter the secret room with the strongbox in it.

How to open south City of Demeniss strongbox

To open the south City of Demeniss strongbox you need to play the keys to match the tune given by turning the handle on the right side of the strongbox.

The solution for the south City of Demeniss strongbox is: 1-5-2-6-5. You can find the key order labelled below. Please note that ‘top level’ refers to the top three keys and ‘bottom level’ refers to the five bottom keys with the key order being described as left to right:

1. First key on the top level.
2. Second key on the bottom level.
3. Second key on the top level.
4. Third key on the bottom level.
5. Second key on the bottom level.

Once you’ve played the right tune, the strongbox will open and you can collect the Tavarian Necklace as a reward.

South City of Demeniss strongbox location

The south City of Demeniss strongbox can be found in a secret room behind a bookshelf in a building in the southern part of the City grounds. We’ve marked the location on the map below:

However you choose to get into the building, you need to head downstairs to the lower level. Stand at the bottom of the stairs facing the ground floor and look slightly to your left, you should see a bookshelf against a wall here.
