Evil Empire’s The Rogue Prince of Persia is receiving a physical release on PS5 on April 10, 2026, and will be available in two editions – Standard and Immortal.
The Standard Edition is simply a copy of the physical version of the game, but the Immortal Edition adds a number of goodies including a Steelbook, three premium art cards with the game’s map pieces on the reverse side, a double-sided poster with the game’s amulets, weapons, and tools on one side, and ‘stunning art’ on the other. The Steelbook houses a physical copy of The Rogue Prince of Persia, while everything else ships inside an outer collectable o-ring.
The Rogue Prince of Persia follows the unnamed Prince as he ventures out to sae his homeland from an army of Huns, all the while carrying a magic bola. The game employs a 2D side-scrolling format, with the Prince naturally possessing a number of parkour skills such as wall jumping and wall running, while battling foes with a primary and secondary weapon that can be switched up freely during combat.
True to its title, the game features roguelike elements; the Prince can avoid permanent death by time travelling, before returning to the hub-like The Oasis, where players can restock potions and upgrade the Prince’s skills.
The Rogue Prince of Persia was originally released for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S in August 2025, with a Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 version following in December.
