Pokémon Pokopia Bleak Beach walkthrough

When you enter Bleak Beach the landscape is, well, bleak. This once beautiful area is filled with ruins, flooded areas and trash. So, once you enter the Area Gate with Professor Tangrowth, your adventure continues…

  1. Follow Professor Tangrowth and fix the broken bridge.
  • To do this, you need to use material blocks (like Soil, Stone Floor, ect) to fix the gap in the bridge so that the Professor can safely cross.
  • If you want to match the surrounding area, you can find the ‘Square Tiling’ crafting recipe on the ground next to the Workbench to the right of the bridge.
  • Place the tiles down side by side, so the bridge is two tiles wide, and the Professor will be able to safely cross it.
  • Cross the bridge with the Professor and follow them to the flooded Pokémon Center.
    • Interact with the PC here and you’ll find it’s not working!
  • Fix the PC by blocking the flow of water.
    • To do this, craft or collect more ‘Tiles’ and place them down around the fountain behind the Pokémon Center to stop the water flowing down.
    • Block the west-facing water outlet that’s pouring water onto the Pokémon Center, this will require a few blocks to stop.
  • When you’ve blocked off the water, interact with the PC again and pick up the ‘Rebuild the Pokémon Center’ Important request.
    • Just like the other areas, you won’t be able to do this right away and is instead an overarching Important Request for your time in Bleak Beach.
    • Buy the Pokémon Center repair kit from the PC for 1,000 Coins.
    • Interact with the house icon on a wooden board in front of the Pokémon Center to find out what materials and Pokémon you need.
  • Speak to Meowth and follow them to their shack.
  • Speak to Meowth again and then create two Mushroom Lamps for their shack.
  • To create two Mushroom Lamps, you’ll need:
      • 2x Glowing Mushroom
      • 2x Sturdy Stick
    • Speak to Meowth again after placing the lamps down.
    • Wait for a bit, then speak to Meowth when they have the ‘Look at all that mud!’ orange speech bubble above their heads.
  • Create a ‘Hydrated yellow tall grass’ Habitat to attract Piplup.
  • For this Habitat, you’ll need:
    • 4x Yellow Tall Grass
    • 2x Water
  • Create the Habitat and wait for Piplup to arrive (it doesn’t take very long).
  • Speak to Piplup again and have them follow you to the mud piles outside Meowth’s Hut.
    • They’ll spray the mud piles automatically when close enough.
    • Then, you need to use Water Gun to wash the mud away.
  • When all the mud is clear, speak to Meowth again when they’ve got the ‘So Clean!’ speech bubble.
  • Return to Professor Tangrowth and speak to them when they’ve got the ‘I’m happy to see more Pokémon!’ orange speech bubble above their head.
  • Build a house for a Pokémon to live in!
    • Just like you did in Withered Wasteland, you need to build a house in Bleak Beach. This time though, it’ll be a Pokémon living in there.
    • Once the house has been built from its kit, walk to the Pokémon you want to live in it and get them to follow you.
    • When you’re at the house, interact with them again and select the ‘Wanna move in?’ option to make it their home.
  • Then, go to speak with Professor Tangrowth again when they’ve got the ‘What a Splendid House’ orange speech bubble above their head.
  • Speak to Meowth again and build a Habitat to attract Torchic.
  • Torchic needs the ‘Chirp-chirp Meal’ habitat. To build this you’ll need:
    • 1x Wooden Birdhouse
    • 1x Plated Food
    • 1x Table (Any)
  • Now, there’s a quick way to do this. Directly opposite Meowth’s shack is all of these pieces of furniture. All you need to do is pick up the plate, place it on the table in front of the Wooden Birdhouse and put any piece of food on it (like a Carrot).
  • Wait for Torchic to appear.
  • Speak to Torchic and select the ‘I want to make a Planter’ option. They’ll then tell you that you need Bricks.
    • Bring Squishy Clay to Torchic to make Bricks.
    • Then, build two Planters at a Workbench with the following materials:
    • Place both planters outside Meowth’s shack and then either use seeds to grow flowers in them, or use Rototiller to grab already mature flowers and place them into the planters to speed things along.
    • Speak to Meowth again to wrap this request up.
  • Return to Professor Tangrowth and speak to Piplup.
  • You now need to make a ‘Trash Collection Site’ Habitat to attract Trubbish.
    • For this Habitat you’ll need:
      • 1x Waste Bin (Any)
      • 1x Garbage Bags
      • 1x Sign (Any)
    • When you’ve built this, wait for Trubbish to arrive.
  • Bring Trubbish one piece of Unburnable Garbage to make Iron Ore. This can readily be found around Bleak Beach, it’s the piles of litter on the ground.
  • When Trubbish has made the Iron Ore, you’ll get the recipe for a Shower. So, your next task is to craft a Shower for Piplup!
    • To craft a Shower you’ll need:
    • After you’ve made the shower, place it on a wall and speak to Piplup again to wrap up the request.
  • Speak to Trubbish when they’ve got the ‘Yooo, that’s weird…’ orange speech bubble above their head. If this isn’t appearing for you, you may need to upgrade your Environment Level to Level Three.
  • Create a ‘Breezy Flower Bed’ Habitat to attract Pawmi.
    • For this Habitat, you’ll need:
    • When Pawmi arrives, speak to them and then have them follow you back to the unlit Streetlight by Professor Tangrowth and Trubbish.

  • Speak to Trubbish again when they’ve got the ‘What’re those noises, yo?’ speech bubble.
  • Head in the direction indicated by Trubbish, when you get close enough you’ll find an orange speech bubble with ‘Zzz…’ in it behind a wall of breakable blocks.
    • Smash through these rocks with Rock Smash to find Mosslax!
    • Return to Professor Tangrowth and bring them back to Mosslax.
  • Speak to Professor Tangrowth again when they’ve got the ‘Oho!’ orange speech bubble.
  • You now need to complete the ‘Brighten things up!’ Important Request.
  • Once you’ve lit up the area and woken up Mosslax, you can now either complete Rocky Ridges if you’ve not done so already, or move on to Sparkling Skylands.
