Linnea is a 5-Star Geo character who is likely being added to Genshin Impact during version 6.5.
While Linnea should feature as a boosted 5-Star character on her Banner in version 6.5, she will eventually return to Genshin Impact at some point in the future when the Banner schedule cycles back to her.

Linnea’s kit
Linnea is a 5-Star Cryo character who uses a bow, and keeping in mind that this is leaked beta information from honeyhunterworld that could change upon Linnea’s official release, and all of the percentages mentioned below are based on Level 1 Skills, here’s a summary of Linnea’s kit in Genshin Impact:
- Element: Geo.
- Rarity: 5-Star.
- Weapon: Bow.
- Normal Attack: Capture Protocol.
- Elemental Skill: Countermeasure: Lumi’s Battle Cry!.
- Elemental Burst: Memo: Survival Guide in Extreme Conditions.
- Passive one: Moonsign Benediction: Habitat Survey – When a party member triggers a Hydro Crystallize reaction, it’s converted into the Lunar-Crystallize reaction, with every 100 defense that Linnea has increasing Lunar-Crystallize’s base damage by 0.7%, up to a maximum of 14%. Additionally, when Linnea is in the party, the party’s Moonsign will increase by one level.
- Passive two: Field Observation Notes – When Lumi is present on the field, the Geo resistance of opponents near Lumi will decrease by 15%. Moonsign Ascendant Gleam: Linnea’s Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst are enhanced. After summoning Lumi, the Geo resistance of opponents near Lumi will be further decreased by 15%.
- Passive three: Universal Naturalist Archive – Linnea will increase the Elemental Mastery of certain characters in your party according to your current active character. Increase in Elemental Mastery is based on 5% of Linnea’s defense. If your current active character is a Moonsign character, increase their Elemental Mastery. If your current active character is not a Moonsign character, increase Linnea’s Elemental Mastery.
- Passive four: Master Adventurer – When not in combat, the charge time of Linnea’s Aimed Shot is greatly decreased, and she will shoot an Ultra Convenient Quick Arrow instead. Different effects will occur depending on the targets hit (see below). The DMG dealt to opponents by Linnea’s Ultra Convenient Quick Arrow is reduced to 20% of her original Charged Arrow. Additionally, after firing a certain number of Ultra Convenient Quick Arrows within a short period of time, Linnea needs to take a temporary break before she can continue using them.
- If hitting specific animals, Ultra Convenient Quick Arrow will be transformed into a special ‘Net’ that can capture the essence and form of these animals, using them as a medium to manifest the animal’s physical form again. The ‘Net’ can only be used for a limited number of times each week.
- If hitting ore veins for ores used in forging: Linnea will dispatch Lumi, who will quickly strike at the ores marked by the Ultra Convenient Quick Arrow, then collect the dislodged ore. If Lumi is not on the field, Linnea will summon her for a short duration to help obtain the ores.
Linnea Normal Attack – Capture Protocol
As a Normal Attack, Linnea performs up to 3 consecutive shots with a bow using Capture Protocol.
As a Charged Attack, Linnea instead performs a more precise Aimed Shot with increased damage. And while aiming, stone crystals will accumulate on the arrowhead. A fully charged crystalline arrow will deal Geo DMG.
As a Plunging Attack, Linnea fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE damage upon impact.
Linnea Elemental Skill – Countermeasure: Lumi’s Battle Cry!
Linnea’s Elemental Skill allows you to adventure with Lumi. Depending on how you tap, Lumi attacks in different forms.
A single tap sees Lumi strike in a Super Power Form, attacking nearby enemies continuously, dealing AoE Geo damage. If there are Moondrifts nearby, Lumi will also deal AoE Geo damage to nearby enemies, which will be considered Lunar-Crystallize Reaction damage.
After using her Elemental Skill, continuous tapping has Linnea feed Lumi sparkling gemstones when her Elemental Skill or Normal Attack is tapped repeatedly. A full-bellied Lumi will strike in her Ultimate Power Form, dealing an especially powerful instance of AoE Geo damage that is considered Lunar-Crystallize Reaction damage, switching to Standard Power Form. Additionally, tapping the Elemental Skill increases Linnea’s interruption resistance.
Linnea Elemental Burst – Memo: Survival Guide in Extreme Conditions
Linnea summons Lumi to strike in Super Power Form, healing nearby party members. For a short duration, she will continuously heal nearby active party members based on Linnea’s defense.
If Lumi has already struck when unleashing Elemental Burst, Lumi’s active duration will be reset instead. Lumi’s Strike Form will not change.
Linnea Talent materials
To get the most out of using Linnea, you will have to level her skills up by using Talent materials, which vary from character-to-character.
With the latest beta information sourced from honeyhunterworld, for Linnea, it looks like you’ll need to farm a lot of Vagrancy and Warrant materials (if you don’t already have them) to fully upgrade her capabilities.
As Linnea has three Talents, you will have to spend three times the Talent materials listed below to fully upgrade all of her abilities, which we’ve also detailed below the table.

Linnea Ascension materials
Just like Talents, you need to use Linnea Ascension materials to upgrade her health, attack, defence, and critical hit effectiveness.
Based off the same honeyhunterworld beta leaks, it looks like you’ll need to farm a lot of Etherwing Moth and Warrant materials for Linnea (if you don’t already have them) to fully upgrade her capabilities.
Unlike Talent materials, you only need to spend the below Ascension materials once to fully raise Linnea to her highest character level. There is also Acquaint Fate rewarded for reaching certain Ascension levels. You can spend this Fate on the standard and beginner Banners to Wish for characters and weapons.

Linnea Constellations
By getting duplicates of Linnea from wishing on her Banner, you will receive her Stella Fortuna. This material allows you to unlock Constellation levels, with each upgrade either improving an existing Talent or Passive ability.
With thanks to honeyhunterworld again for sourcing this leaked beta information, here are all of Linnea’s Constellations in Genshin Impact:
- Provisional Classification (C1): When unleashing her Elemental Skill or when triggering Moondrift Harmony, Linnea gains six stacks of the Field Catalog effect for 10s, up to a maximum of 18 stacks. When nearby party members deal Lunar-Crystallize Reaction damage, consume one stack of Field Catalog to increase the damage dealt. The increase in damage is equal to 75% of Linnea’s defense. Additionally, when Lumi uses Million Ton Crush in her Ultimate Power Form, Linnea can consume up to five stacks of Field Catalog. Each stack will increase the damage dealt by 150% of Linnea’s defense.
- Tidings of Joy and Sorrow (C2): Within eight seconds of triggering Moondrift Harmony, all Hydro and Geo party members have their critical damage increased by 40%. Additionally, when Lumi uses Million Ton Crush in her Ultimate Power Form, the critical damage of that attack increases by an additional 150%.
- Moonsign Ascendant Gleam: When Lumi uses Heavy Overdrive Hammer in her Super Power Form, or when she uses Million Ton Crush in her Ultimate Power Form, an instance of Moondrift Harmony will be triggered. For this instance of Moondrift Harmony, all Hydro and Geo characters in the party will be considered to have applied their Elements in the reaction.
- Eventful Log Page (C3): Increases the Level of Elemental Skill, Countermeasure: Lumi’s Battle Cry!, by three. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
- Expert Instinct (C4): Within five seconds of triggering Moondrift Harmony, increase the defense of Linnea and your current active character by 25% respectively. When Linnea is on the field, the defense-increasing effect can be stacked.
- Fairyland’s Farewell Gift (C5): Linnea’s Elemental Burst increases by three Levels. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
- Golden Hound’s Dream (C6): The effects of the Constellation, Provisional Classification, are enhanced: When unleashing Elemental Skill or when triggering Moondrift Harmony, Linnea will directly gain the maximum number of Field Catalog stacks. When consuming Field Catalog, consume twice the original number of stacks, such that the increase in damage will be boosted to 150% of the original value.
- Moonsign Ascendant Gleam: Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG dealt by nearby party members is elevated by 25%.
