Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune arrived on PS3 in November 2007, but it’s been hiding an Easter egg that has only just been unearthed by speed runner Panzerdeer.
This particular Easter egg was only found by using a debug menu on Chapter 19 to head out of bounds, so it’s not as if it was hiding just around the corner for players to discover. By heading out of bounds, the speed runner was able to find an image featuring 16 ‘mugshots’ of who are presumably members of the Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune development team. It’s worth noting that this Easter egg can be found in both the original version of Drake’s Fortune and its PS4 remaster.
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune follows Nathan Drake, a supposed descent of Sir Francis Drake, as he teams up with reporter Elena Fisher and long-time collaborator Victor Sullivan on the hunt for the mythical treasure of El Dorado. The adventure takes Drake through lush jungles, medieval forts, a sunken city, Nazi stronghold, and many more locations in an adventure that spawned a hugely successful franchise, one that sadly hasn’t seen a new entry in nearly a decade.
