Resident Evil Requiem Game Director Confirms New Content Is Coming, Including Story Expansion & Photo Mode – PlayStation Universe

Koshi Nakanishi, director on Resident Evil Requiem, has revealed in a brief video posted on the Resident Evil X account that Capcom is working on additional content for the critically acclaimed survival horror title.

Among the new content in the works include a Photo Mode, a mini-game (this could be The Mercenaries, although that’s just speculation on my part seeing as how it’s been a big part of the franchise), and a story expansion. The latter ties in with what we’ve heard from insider Dusk Golem, who confirmed story DLC is in the pipeline, although Nakanishi-san didn’t confirm any other details.

In regards to the DLC, Golem had claimed that Leon is going to be the main character featured in the DLC, although previously it was believe that Alyssa would be included. He also revealed that some scenes were cut from the final version of the game, including the mansion from the original Resident Evil (or rather, its ruins) and section of Raccoon City where you could drive freely around.

Resident Evil Requiem was released for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S on February 27, 2026, and sold over five million copies in less than one week. You can read our full review here.
