Dragon’s Stone Chamber puzzle solution

As mentioned, this puzzle involves rotating three dials into specific positions based on murals found in different locations. These murals are a fair distance away from the puzzle chamber itself, but you don’t actually need to collect or interact with anything at these murals. They are purely visual to reveal the correct orientation of the dials inside Dragon’s Stone Chamber.

If you’re wanting to simply brute force this puzzle, you can actually skip visiting the mural locations entirely and jump straight to the solution.

However, if you’d like to complete the puzzle as intended, or if something happens to be slightly different for your game, continue reading to learn where to find the murals.

Mural 1 – Sun and Moon

The first mural is located along the southern cliffside of Anvil Hill, far east of where the puzzle itself is located.

Mural 2 – Spiral

The second mural is located slightly west of the first mural, along the side of the same rock wall.

Mural 3 – Scorpion

The third mural is located along the same rock wall as the prior two, but much further west. You’ll find this location slightly north-east of Bloomwood Ranch.

With all three murals checked, feel free to make a note or take a screenshot of them (or refer to our images above). Now it’s time to head back to the chamber to turn those dials.

Dragon’s Stone Chamber dial solutions

Once in the chamber, you’ll need to drop into the pit and interact with the dials on each wall, turning them based on the orientation shown in the murals.

With that in mind, here’s a walkthrough on how to turn the dials and solve the Dragon’s Stone Chamber puzzle:

With the overhanging stone dragon statue on the wall in front of you (opposite the entrance)…

  • Turn the Sun dial (left) so that the sun and moon are pointing upwards.
  • Turn the Scorpion dial (middle) so that the pincers are pointing left.
  • Turn the Spiral dial (right) until the larger spiral is positioned in the upper right of the dial.

If done correctly, once you’ve finished interacting with the last dial, a door beneath the stone dragon will open up, revealing your prize.

The prizes in question are an Abyss Artifact and the ‘Memories of Abundance’ item that unlocks ‘unlocks knowledge of hidden places’ in Hernand. You’ll find that second item tucked away as a purple item in your inventory, and will have to select ‘use’ on it to receive the benefits.

Dragon’s Stone Chamber puzzle location

The Dragon’s Stone Chamber is located down the southeast path from Greymane Camp.

Exiting the camp and following the path out, passing by the sloped path, you’ll eventually reach a large opening in the ground. On one side of this area, you’ll see a small area tucked away amongst the rock wall.

Jump, climb, and glide your way over to the other side. Once landing safely, use your lantern in front of the wall mural to initiate a flashback via the Visione helmet.

Following the flaskback’s conclusion, move towards the mural of the white tree on the wall – as if you’re going to walk through it – and Kliff will automatically begin to push it open. Keep pushing it and you’ll find yourself inside the core chamber, ready to take on the Dragon’s Stone Chamber puzzle.
