Each week, Circana analyst Mat Piscatella shares data that reveals the top 10 titles in the US ranked by total weekly active users across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
The lists come from Circana’s Player Engagement Tracker, and to be sure, this tracks weekly active users, not concurrent users.
Which games were the most popular for the week that ended March 14? The top title on PS5 was NBA 2K26, which was also No. 1 the week prior. On Xbox, Fortnite topped the charts like it did the previous week. And on Steam, Slay the Spire II was No. 1.
One of the biggest movers of the week was Cyberpunk 2077, which rocketed up the charts from No. 51 to No. 10 on Xbox. Why? It was added to Xbox Game Pass on March 10, and this was just the latest example of the so-called Game Pass effect.
People have a lot of things to say about Game Pass, but in this case, Cyberpunk 2077 coming to Game Pass encouraged a lot of people to try it out, and that’s kind of the whole point.
